Therapy for Teens

Teens begin therapy for a range of reasons. Since some teens are resistant to traditional therapy, we encourage teens to be a part of the treatment process and develop goals based on their current struggles. Therapy for Women Beverly Hills focuses on specific treatment for depression, anxiety, PTSD, self-injury, perfectionism, and feelings of unworthiness, unlovable, and inadequacy. Counseling relationships between women and girls inspire them to break through stereotypes and support a pathway for them to be bright leaders in the future. Your daughter will discover that the counselor is invested in expanding their horizons to reach their personal and communal successes in the therapeutic relationship.

Developing healthy communication with parents/guardians is also a key to the long-term effects of therapy. Often parents/guardians will join the last 10 minutes of a session with the teen's permission to review tools from the session.  Group therapy is encouraged either during or after individual treatment to develop a peer support system for the teen. For a list of current groups, check out our group's page (this should have a hyperlink to the groups page )
