Therapy for Individuals

Have you ever found yourself sitting in a room of people but feeling alone?

You know that God promises joy in the morning, but every day you're unable to tap into the joy and happiness you're promised and once felt.

Things that never bothered you start getting under your skin.

Anger, Worry, Shame, Rejection, Sadness plagues your heart, mind, and soul.

Friends and family try to relax you by offering words like "It could be worse." And realistically, you know there is truth to that, but you can't shake the feelings of hopelessness, unworthiness, faithlessness, and sadness. You're stuck, and you know something must change. Deep down, you know you need some help.

While reaching out can make you feel vulnerable or inadequate, the opposite is true. Ultimately it shows your awareness that you are not your struggles and your readiness to own your capacity for growth and transformational change.

Individual counseling (sometimes called psychotherapy, talk therapy, or treatment) is a counselor's opportunity to co-journey with you in the darkness while holding the light of hope until you have the strength to hold it for yourself. In the session, you work one-on-one with a trained mental health clinician in a safe, brave, compassionate, kind, non-judgmental, and confidential environment. Counseling allows individuals to explore their feelings, beliefs, and behaviors, work through challenging or influential memories, identify aspects of their lives that they would like to change, better understand themselves and others, set personal goals, and work toward desired transformational change.
